We look at one post at a time.

That’s the fastest way for us to catch what’s wrong with a single Reel or Carousel. Come back and run it on every post you publish. We won’t be looking at your whole page here.

Read your own retention curve, forever

We see the same few retention shapes again and again. Once you can name yours, you can diagnose every future Reel yourself, without needing this tool for that check.

The dotted line is 100%: everyone who pressed play.

The Cliff
Means: Sharp drop in the first 1–3 seconds, then flat. The hook failed — people bounced before anything happened.
Fix: Something needs to happen in frame one, not after a setup.
The Slow Bleed
Means: Steady, gradual decline the whole way. The hook worked, but nothing re-earns attention as it goes.
Fix: Add pattern interrupts every few seconds, not just at the start.
The Mid-Video Drop
Means: Holds strong, then falls off sharply partway through — usually where the payoff was promised but delayed too long.
Fix: Move the payoff earlier, or give a reason to keep watching before that point.
The Plateau
Means: Holds flat and high most of the way through. This is genuinely good retention.
Fix: Nothing — this is what “good” looks like.
The Climb / Loop Spike
Means: Retention goes ABOVE 100% — people are watching it more than once.
Fix: Nothing — this is the best possible signal, often from a seamless loop or dense information.
